One
of our very favorite jennets, Penny, certainly had a surprise waiting
for us when we checked her Oct. 27, on our late night patrol. Penny
has always given us some of our nicest foals and we were very anxious
to be with her for her foal this time. Since Penny is getting up in
years we had decided this would be her very last foal. We want her to
live out the rest of her life at Half Ass Acres just doing what ever
she decides to do. She has complete run of the farm now and everywhere
she goes you see little Dancer right beside his mother just enjoying
her company.
My good friends, Amanda and Cathy Lewis, were here when Dancer was born
and they helped us name this little guy. He is adorable and one of the
sweetest little guys we’ve had this year. He has his mom’s gentleness
and just loves to be close to you when you are in his paddock.
Dancer is a gorgeous deep brown color with NLPs and has some roaning
in his coat. He has an alert head, dark eye rings with big dark eyes
that look at you with so much love and kindness. I know you’ve heard
the expression, “Save the Last Dance For Me” - well, this little guy
can be saved for you. He is truly Penny’s “last dance” and we could
not be more pleased with this precious foal. He is a true example of
both his sire, Napoleon, and his dam, Penny. He carries the best qualities
from both of these donkeys. Dancer is going to be a very small donkey
at maturity.
We are offering Dancer For Sale as a jack or as a gelding. He has the
qualities to be either and make you very proud to own him. We have been
so lucky to have Penny and now we feel it’s time for us to share her
off-spring with others.
Call now to make an appointment to come see Dancer. He will be weaned
around the first of March 2008. We are more than happy to have you visit,
play, groom, and just get to know him while he is here with us waiting
to be weaned from Penny to come to your farm.
